27 March 2024

Are you a PhD student at Umeå University interested in a course on communication and transdisciplinary methods, as well as a field trip in Rovaniemi, Finland? If so, the Arctic Graduate School welcomes you to join.

The Arctic Graduate School invites you to participate in an interdisciplinary course (1.5 credits) with a focus on communication and transdisciplinary methods in Arctic research. The course takes place 22–26 April 2024 as a field trip in Rovaniemi.

During the course, you will gain a deeper understanding of interdisciplinary methods and their application in Arctic research, as well as discuss and analyse various aspects of interdisciplinary research to develop a broader view of the subject.

In addition, we will explore strategies for effective communication and collaboration with various stakeholders in the research field.

The field trip will include visits to the University of Lapland and the Arctic Centre in Rovaniemi, where we will have the opportunity to interact with researchers and take part in current research in the field.

In order to participate, you must be actively present and complete submission tasks. You are expected to cover costs for accommodation and travel by yourself.

For registration and further information, please contact Anngelica Kristoferqvist, education coordinator at the Arctic Center.
