Open call – Do you want affiliate to UCMR?

    Umeå Center for Microbial Research, UCMR, welcomes new research leaders at Umeå University with an interest in microbial research and infection biology. Researchers interested in playing an active role in UCMR can apply to join.

    UCMR's community is defined in a way that is inclusive and clear, but also regulates the opportunities and the responsibilities that come with the affiliation. This information is compiled in the UCMR PI Guidelines.

    How do I apply?

    Please read the guidelines, approve them, and enclose a short motivation letter describing your motivation to affiliate with UCMR and how you can establish an active, close working relationship with UCMR research that contribute to the scientific development of the centre (max 2,000 characters with spaces). Email your application to UCMR research ccordinator ingrid.soderbergh@umu.se.
    Deadline to send in your application is 15 May 2024.

    Current research areas within UCMR:

    Umeå Centre of Microbial Research, UCMR, features internationally competitive and cross-disciplinary research in the following fields related to microbial research and infection biology: microbiology, molecular and cell biology, chemistry, clinical microbiology, infection medicine, structural biology, immunology, epidemiology, microbial ecology, physics, mathematics and data-driven science. The research also spans from pre-clinical to clinical settings.
