Until 17 November, researchers/teachers at Umeå University can apply to contribute to SASUF Research and Innovation Week 2024, which aims to develop collaboration with researchers in South Africa. Those who are selected from Umeå University to contribute to the programme can receive funds for travel and accommodation.
SASUF's (South Africa-Sweden University Forum) Research & Innovation Week is a concept of bringing together researchers, teachers, students, university management representatives, etc. from all the 40 SASUF partner universities. The main part will be held in Skåne on 15-17 May 2024. Researchers at Umeå University can now apply to contribute to the programme.
The Research and Innovation week 2024 consists of
• two days filled with Satellite Events all over Sweden, followed by
• a three-day Sustainability Forum in Lund, Alnarp and Malmö where everyone gathers for joint workshops.
Three opportunities to contribute to the programme
As a researcher, you can apply to
1) hold a workshop during the Sustainability Forum (Skåne 15-17 May),
2) present a poster during the Sustainability Forum
3) contribute to a workshop/satellite event (somewhere in Sweden, 13-14 May)
All contributions must fit within one of the six main themes linked to the UN's global sustainability goals.
Do you want to apply?
No later than 17 November, you need to submit your contribution to SASUF Research and Innovation Week. More information about the call for proposals and what must be included in the application can be found on SASUF's website.
After the application deadline, a selection process takes place. Each Swedish university that is part of SASUF has a limited number of places for the Sustainability Forum. The researchers who are offered to contribute to the programme are also given the opportunity to receive funds for travel costs and accommodation to go there.
