User account (Umu-id)

To be able to log in to most of the university's systems and services, you use your Umu-id. Umu-id was formerly called CAS. The account consists of a username and a password.

A user account, Umu-id, is created automatically when a person enters the personnel system, either as an employee or affiliate. The new user must then activate their account before it can be used.

I want to activate my Umu-id

There is no limit in the validity period for the Umu-id itself, but after completing work or studies, the rights for access into the university's IT systems are limited.

Change password at least once a year

As an employee, you must change the password for your Umu-id at least once a year. You will receive an email reminder to change your password 14 days before your password expires.

If you do not change your password in time, you will temporarily lose access to services associated with your Umu-id. Services that are affected are, for example:

  • Cambro
  • PASS
  • EpiServer (web publishing)
  • Email
  • Login to your computer.

On the university's website Manual you will find information on how to change your password.
